Guess what’s waiting for your child after school?

The future.

And do you know what it expects from your child?

That he has the confidence to be who he wants to be

That he discovers all the possibilities to become the best version of himself

A future where the human being, connected to itself, is the true power.
This future begins now.
And it depends on us!

Welcome

A space where children and adolescents work on body movements, mental health and self-love,
thus integrating body, mind and heart.

The Humanist Institute for Personal Development (IHDP) is much more than just a place or sessions. It prioritizes the human being above all else and invites us to reconnect with what is essential. It is a non-religious movement that helps children and adolescents discover their unique, personal, and untransferable power, allowing them to move freely toward a more empathetic, creative, and authentic future.

A future where

Feelings have meaning

The world is alive beyond screens

Empathy flourishes through human contact

Silence and ideas breathe

Creativity finds room to dream

Invitation

We invite children and teens to step out of automatic mode, to disconnect in order to better reconnect, not only with the immediate, but especially with what matters most. This is achieved through a humanistic methodology with a fun and interactive approach using tools such as:

  • Dance

  • Yoga exercises

  • Mindfulness

  • Storytelling

  • Group dynamics

  • Theater

The sessions will be led by Renata Alboredo, founder of IHDP. Her approach is aligned with the three pillars: body, mind, and heart. She transforms each session into a true journey of discovery and transformation that:

  • Develops a positive and proactive mindset

  • Develops social and emotional skills for a more prosperous and harmonious academic and personal life

  • Encourages critical and ethical thinking

  • Stimulates resilience in the face of difficult situations and stress

About Me

My name is Renata Alboredo, founder of IHDP, born in Brazil.

Practicing classical dance from the age of 7 taught me not only discipline and body expression, but also how to develop my human and artistic sensitivity. Dance shapes my career. It inspires me to help my students connect with their essence and express themselves authentically.

Furthermore, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Marketing since 1995.

For 20 years, I was a sales manager in the medical market. This experience allowed me to acquire a deep understanding of interpersonal relationships while honing my communication skills and empathy.

Wanting to specialize in human development, I invested in additional training in:

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Hypnosis

Life Coaching

Philosophy

Nonviolent Communication

Spirituality

Neuroscience

My worldview and my ability to adapt to different cultural environments were impacted by the experience of living outside my home country. After three years in the United States, I have lived in Switzerland for over 16 years. Helping my child adapt to these cultural changes and supporting him emotionally has been a solid foundation. Furthermore, my passion for travel has allowed me to experience several countries and their cultures, including Eastern spirituality.

For over five years, working at a private international school, I have dedicated myself to helping young people develop their self-confidence and emotional skills through an approach that integrates the body, mind, and spirit.

I deeply believe in the transformative power of the humanistic approach as well as in the union of art with science to promote personal development.

A Hand-Woven Future

Here at the IHDP, we believe that the future is also shaped by hand. By many hands.

That’s why the institute surrounds itself with a committed team that shares the same values.

We are proud to introduce our team:

Viviane Hilkner

Viviane Hilkner was born and raised in Brazil. She has always been passionate about classical dance. When it came time to make a career choice, she decided to study Communications and Marketing, which forced her to put dance aside, but without forgetting it.

Viviane continued her career in Italy before settling in Switzerland in 2006, where she discovered the practice of Hatha Yoga. At that time, with determination, she chose to complete the Hatha Yoga teacher training program to transmit and share the age-old knowledge of tradition, science, and philosophy of life.

After completing her training in Lausanne and then in India, she pursued training in Yoga Therapy, Child Play Yoga, and Dharma Yoga Wheel.

Aware of its benefits in daily life, she is happy to be able to share this practice.

Geraldine Busto

My name is Géraldine Busto, and I’m a psychologist specializing in adult psychotherapy with a psychoanalytic orientation. My experience as a mother led me to specialize in parenting, and I work in an interdisciplinary perinatal practice in Yverdon, Mum To Be. I work in individual therapy with parents to help them overcome the difficulties they encounter with their child(ren) or their partner/co-parent, often related to their own life story.

By collaborating with Renata in workshops, our combined and complementary perspectives allow us to offer support to the entire family, both children and parents.

History

The Humanist Institute for Personal Development was born from a revelatory experience that led me to become involved in the emotional and personal development of children and adolescents.

It all began during my dance classes. Some children had difficulty following choreographic sequences, but it wasn’t a lack of ability or motor skills. I noticed other, often hidden, factors influencing their performance: shyness, lack of self-confidence, fear of failure, for example.

Faced with this, I decided to support each child individually by encouraging them, helping them find their own rhythm, and strengthening their self-esteem. The results were very positive. These observations awakened in me a deep desire to better understand the emotional and psychological mechanisms behind young people’s behavior. To this end, I undertook training in neuro-linguistic programming, hypnosis, life coaching, and neuroscience, while also exploring fields such as philosophy and spirituality. These studies have allowed me to develop a compassionate approach to supporting children and adolescents.

For over five years, working at a private international school, I have dedicated myself, through the Humanist Institute for Personal Development, to helping each child and adolescent cultivate their emotional intelligence, strengthen their self-confidence, and better prepare for life.

By emphasizing art, science, and an understanding of the human being, I offer support that highlights each child’s individuality while promoting harmonious and balanced growth.
