Shy OR lacking self-confidence?
The development of children and teenagers
Children and teenagers go through an important stage in their development.
They experience many emotions, search for their place and begin to build their identity.
Yet many still find it difficult to:
- understand what they are feeling
- express themselves with confidence
- manage comparison and peer pressure
At IHDP, we offer a caring, humanistic space where children develop their emotional intelligence through playful learning:
Build self-confidence
Develop healthier relationships
Express themselves authentically
Our approach
We take an integrative approach combining insights from neuroscience, positive psychology, social-emotional development, compassionate communication, body movement and philosophical reflection. We believe that the development of children and teenagers cannot be reduced to academic performance.
Our mission
Our mission is to support children, teenagers and parents in developing emotional intelligence, self-confidence and inner balance through a humanistic method that integrates body, mind and heart. Because growing and guiding children well begins with inner well-being: feeling fully oneself, happy and fulfilled.

About me
My name is Renata Alboredo. I am the founder of IHDP and was born in Brazil.
Practising classical dance from the age of seven taught me not only discipline and physical expression, but also how to develop my human and artistic sensitivity. Dance has shaped my journey. It inspires me to help my students connect with their essence and express themselves authentically.
I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Business and a Master's degree in Marketing, completed in 1995.
For 20 years, I was responsible for business relations in the medical market. This experience gave me a deep understanding of interpersonal relationships while strengthening my communication skills and empathy.
Wanting to specialise in human development, I pursued additional training in:
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
- Nonviolent Communication
- Hypnosis
- Spirituality
- Life Coaching
- Neuroscience
- Philosophy
Living outside my country of origin has shaped my worldview and my ability to adapt to different cultural environments.
After three years in the United States, I have lived in Switzerland for more than 16 years.
Helping my child adapt to these cultural changes and supporting them emotionally provided me with invaluable experience.
My passion for travel has also allowed me to discover many countries and cultures, including Eastern spirituality.
For more than five years, within a private international school, I have dedicated myself to helping young people develop their self-confidence and emotional skills through an approach that integrates body, mind and heart.
I deeply believe in the transformative power of the humanistic approach and in bringing art and science together to foster personal development.
The Humanistic Institute for Personal Development grew from a revealing experience that led me to devote myself to the emotional and personal development of children and teenagers.
It all began during my dance classes. Some children found it difficult to follow choreographic sequences, but this was not due to a lack of ability or motor skills.
I noticed other, often hidden factors affecting their performance, such as shyness, lack of self-confidence and fear of failure.
In response, I decided to support each child individually by encouraging them, helping them find their own rhythm and strengthening their self-esteem.
The result was very positive.
These observations awakened a deep desire in me to better understand the emotional and psychological mechanisms behind young people's behaviour.
To do so, I undertook training in neuro-linguistic programming, hypnosis, life coaching and neuroscience, while exploring fields such as philosophy and spirituality.
These studies enabled me to develop a caring approach to supporting children and teenagers.
For more than five years, within a private international school and through IHDP, I have dedicated myself to helping each child and teenager cultivate emotional intelligence, strengthen self-confidence and become better prepared for life.
By focusing on art, science and an understanding of the human being, I provide support that brings each person's individuality to light while fostering harmonious and balanced growth.

Testimonials
Gustavo — Helena's father
My eight-year-old daughter took part in the Mission Courage workshop and came away absolutely delighted!
The facilitators' attention and care could be felt at every moment: in the warm smiles that welcomed us, in the playful and educational activities my daughter enjoyed so much, and in the many thoughtful organisational details.
I appreciated the professionalism of the communication materials, the fact that the children received a project T-shirt, which my daughter loved, and the quality of the resources used during the activities.
My daughter felt comfortable even though she did not know anyone at first.
I highly recommend this workshop!
Aren
I loved the workshop, it was fun and energizing.
For me the best parts were tasting and learning how to defend yourself from bullies which we can all have an issue with.
I recommend it to all my friends.
Thanks again for this nice experience.
Ayeska — Rafaela's mother
According to my daughter, she had an incredibly fun morning while learning many important things that she will carry with her throughout her life.
In my opinion, IHDP is a powerful and much-needed initiative for families and society as a whole.
Dounia — Kyara's mother
Kyara had a wonderful morning and came away full of confidence and positive energy! She really enjoyed the different exercises offered.
Jessie — Giulia and Louna's mother
A huge thank you and congratulations to Renata for everything she creates for children! These classes are magical and give my daughters the tools and knowledge they need for so many important things in life, such as persevering, daring to try, saying no, learning to concentrate, setting boundaries and so much more.
Every time they come home from their classes, they are happy and share precious insights with me.
They dare more and believe in themselves more and more. As a mother, it is such a joy to see that.
It is rare to find classes that bring together joy, confidence and personal development, so I wholeheartedly recommend them!
